Description / Requirements

Students will:

  1. Peer review each of your team members’ contribution to both the team dynamics and the report proposal – 500 -1000 words, 10 marks.
  2. Submit a written self-reflection, on their experience of working in a team over the trimester using Tuckman’s model of group dynamics as the framework – 1500- 2000 words, 20 marks.

TASK:

  1. This assessment requires you to complete an individual reflection that addresses your experiences of working in a team over the trimester. Using Tuckman’s model as the framework for their answer, students will reflect on their journey and the relationship with other team members using theory taught throughout the trimester to underpin their comments. Students who merely tell the story of the trimester will not pass this assignment.

We are looking for students to reflect on the good, the bad and the ordinary, using the theory taught throughout the trimester to ‘explain’ what has been happening in your team.

  1. You are also asked to rate each of your team members’ contributions across ALL team activities for Modules 1-8 AND the Team Project and to also provide a paragraph or two that reflects your views on the ‘equity’ of the contributions between team members and the assignment.

PEER REVIEW

  1. Please complete and submit the peer review table on the next page.
  2. Also provide a paragraph or two that reflects your views on the ‘equity’ of the contributions between team members and the reward (assignment mark) that should be given.

Netanel (1996) talks about the NIEP theory approach to copyright and the democratic paradigm. Explain the difference between these in your own words. Lessig (2008) talks about read-only (RO) and read/write (RW) culture. How can copyright facilitate both of these?

chapter one Introduction A ‘‘Largely Ignored Paradox’’ The u.s. supreme court has famously labeled copyright ‘‘the engine of free expression.’’1 Copyright law, the Court tells us, provides a vital economic incentive for the creation and distribution of much of the literature, commentary, music, art, and film that makes up our public discourse. Yet copyright also burdens speech. We often copy or build upon another’s words, images, or music to convey our own ideas effectively. We cannot do that if a copyright holder withholds permission or insists upon a license fee that is beyond our means. And copyright does not extend merely to literal copying. It can also prevent parodying, remolding, critically dissecting, or incorporating portions of existing expression into a new, independently created work. Consider The Wind Done Gone, a recent, best-selling novel by African American writer Alice Randall. Randall’s novel revisits the setting and characters of Margaret Mitchell’s classic Civil War
