Scenario:
You’re employed as the Coffee Construction Australia’s (CCA) senior project director/manager and you have recently completed your Master of Project Management at RMIT.
You have been tasked by the Jim Coffee (the firm’s chief construction executive) with investigating the ‘best practice’ information systems (IS) used to manage similar businesses.
You are in the process of investigating various information systems when Jim Coffee says that he wants you to prepare a management report for the senior leadership team’s next meeting. Some members of the senior leadership team have expressed some concerns about moving away from their current business practices and processes.
Task:
Write a management report of no less than 2500 words explaining (with reference to the course brief):
(a) the business value proposition of CCA using best practice information systems,
(b) how the IS would support the various business functional areas of CCA, and
(c) how each information system would or could be used by the firm’s project managers in managing CCA’s projects. 11:59 pm,

Remember the audience is the senior (executive) leadership team who are NOT technology literate so you should use appropriate business language and refrain from using project management, construction, or technical jargon.

o Ensure that the font size and style you choose can be easily read. It is recommended that if you use Arial as your font, the minimum font size should be 10 point. If using Times New Roman the minimum font size should be 12 point. Type your work using 1½ line spacing.
o The course name and number, your name and student number should be stated clearly on the front cover and include page numbers in the footer.

Estimated work effort
A 12 credit point course should include 36 hours of class time with a further 72 hours for private study. For BUSM4409, it is suggested that this assignment should take approximately 30% of 72 hours. i.e. Between 21 and 25 hours.
