The purpose of different types of organisation and to what extent Nestle meets the objectives of different stakeholders

Produce a properly referenced report addressing the questions. The
report should comply with the minimum word count of 3000 with +/-
10% margin. You may use tables and diagrams to support your report
to illustrate the text. Word count excludes the index, headings,
information contained in tables, references and bibliography.
You have been given a case study “Doing Better by the Environment”. With the guidance of
the case study investigate the organisation within their environment at local, national and
global level and the impact of government policies and the European dimension on Nestle.

Your discussion should include the following.
 The purpose of different types of organisation and to what extent Nestle meets the
objectives of different stakeholders (LO 1.1, 1.2)
 An explanation of the responsibilities of NESTLE and its strategies employed to meet
them. (LO 1.3)
 Assess the impact of fiscal and monetary policy on NESTLE and their activities and
how the impact of social welfare and industrial policy initiatives have affected on

Nestle. In addition evaluate the impact of competition policy and other regulatory
mechanisms on the activities of NESTLE (LO 2.2, 2.3)
 Explain how market structures determine the pricing and output decisions of NESTLE
and its response to market forces (LO 3.1, 3.2)
 Discuss how the business and cultural environments shape the behaviour of NESTLE
including the competitive strategies employed by Nestle (LO 3.3)
 Discuss and evaluate the significance of international trade, economic integration and
global markets and the implications the company entering to EMU. (LO 4.1, 4.2, 4.3)
It is learner’s responsibility to arrange the report on a suitable format which discusses above.
The learner is not required to follow the order given above, instead find a suitable structure
for the report.
